The start of Bast Kwaliteitsbeheer
In 1997, in addition to his study, Rian Bast founded Bast Kwaliteitsbeheer. In the first years he combined the small-scale projects with a part-time job as a teacher of Food Technology.
Meanwhile Bast Kwaliteitsbeheer expanded its services which primarily consisted of quality consultancy and training with assignments for auditing, inspection and independent company assessments.
Nowadays we have grown into an international company with besides the Netherlands, clients in Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal, Belarus, Lithuania, Russia, Uruguay, Ukraine and Taiwan. Bast Kwaliteitsbeheer is grateful for the loyal network that makes this possible.

Rian Bast: “Companies often starts with the hard target to achieve a certification. Then it may seem that it is mainly about filling in the specific certification requirements. It is the crown on the job when the organization noticed during the process more structure in the work, increasement of the knowledge about its own process and products, and visible improvements in the organization.
